Appearance
Red/blonde hair, freckles scattered over her nose and cheeks and tired eyes. Audrey is fairly normal-looking, of average height with a slim body, and narrow shoulders that slump a little when she is tired. Her hair is usually pulled back while she is at work, but let down when she is at home. She doesn’t wear makeup and rarely wears anything remotely formal or dressy. More often than not she can be seen wearing her work uniform, and if not that then a pair of simple jeans and a sweater. She has a kind smile and an inviting manner of behaving overall.

Background
Ever since Audrey was a little girl she dreamt of leaving Nottingham. At first, she hoped that she would someday marry a handsome prince who would whisk her away to a far away country with luxury and excitement. However, as she grew up she tried to make more realistic goals. Next, she wanted to be a singer, though that quickly became a farfetched dream too. Eventually, she decided that she wanted to study medicine and be a pediatric nurse. Although she fought her way to the grades needed for her applications to university, she never sent any of them. During her last year of high school her mother became seriously ill, and Audrey almost quit school entirely to take care of her. Despite her efforts, her mother died shortly after her graduation. Her father didn't take it well, and now spends most of his time in front of the television, except for when he works at the local convenience store.
About 3 months after her mother's death, Aubrey had a fling with one of the boys she had known from a nextdoor town. He was sweet enough, but fell into complete panic when she became pregnant. He was headed to university and had no plans of starting a family anytime soon, even less so with some girl from Nottingham that he didn't even fancy all that much. His parents demanded that she get an abortion, but she chose not to. Things were complicated, her father was upset with her and everyone in town knew about it. However, when her son came around, she didn't regret a thing.
Being a single mother takes its toll though, and she sometimes struggles to make ends meet with only one income and no one there to help her when her son gets sick or her dad can't keep up with his work. Most days, she comes home exhausted, only to find her apartment a complete mess or unpaid bills piling up on her doormat. She gets by, but only because she has given up everything to do so.

Present
Currently, Audrey resides in an old apartment on the outskirts of Nottingham. She works full time at the Radford Caretaking Centre close to the city centre, but often has to work extra hours to make things work. On top of that, she sometimes has to take her father’s shifts at the convenience store for him.
Her goals are to save up enough money to send Michael to college someday, and if possible, to move somewhere better. Unfortunately, good job opportunities are scarce for an uneducated single mother who needs flexible working hours.
